Misled: Weakened Mind Vs. Taking Captive Thoughts

Misled: Weakened Mind Vs. Taking Captive ThoughtsDo not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character. Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God- I say this to shame you. (1 Corinthians 15:33, 34 NIV)

Passion

Paul’s passion to teach others about Jesus, held low tolerance as times for ignorance. He stated, “I die every day- I mean that brothers.” Early in Paul’s ministry, he was not accepted by the established disciples. Here he progressed to the point of understanding by experiencing self- sacrifices. He had to die daily to selfish needs- just like our flesh screams for self indulgence. Knowledge of God does not come through emotions or feelings, it’s being determined to set foundation in God’s Word.

Misled

As each day passes, more individuals are being misled. News can no longer be trusted to report truth. Interesting during this progression of journalist violating ethics, reality television became popular. Not all Americans or fellow believers around the world will fall victim to being misled- only those lacking solid Biblical foundation. First step towards entertaining bad company, our minds weaken. God did not give us a spirit of fear- He gave us a Spirit of power, love, and a sound mind. He promises to make a way out of every temptation. We take captive every thought making it obedient to Christ. By doing this, scripture informs we demolish arguments and every pretensions opposing knowledge of God.

Opposition

Anytime there is opposition to knowledge of God, individuals have been misled. We see this increasing daily. Seems like Paul had enough, he told these people to come to their senses and stop sinning. As smart as misled individuals believe they are by world standards, their ignorance of God is clearly seen by God’s standards.

Counting down…

Christmas days are counting down. I wonder how many young adults are returning home where Christ entered their hearts as a child. Though satan has gripped and fighting hard not to let go…we ask God to soften all hearts to understand. May Christ’s love begin permeating throughout every home, and misled individuals will come to their senses. Lord open eyes to see, ears to hear, and hearts to understand with Biblical truth accepted and hearts repented.

Christmas

Forward Friday! Moving forward as Christmas bells ring…let us all have reason to celebrate Jesus’s birth. In the mean time…make sure we’re not misled and enjoy preparations during this special time of year.

Be encouraged!
