Peace: A Supernatural Sweetness- Don’t Miss

Peace: A Supernatural Sweetness- Don't MissAnd suddenly there with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” (Luke 2:13,14 ESV)

Hidden Jewel

Forward Friday! Deck the halls with boughs of folly, Fa la la la…No- it’s Deck the halls with boughs of holly. Interesting, how often have we considered boughs of holly? Ever realized a bough is a tree’s main branch? Why deck the halls with so much joy as this song denotes? In this season’s hustle and bustle, peace seems to be a hidden jewel.

Peace

Picture peace as a multitude of heavenly host- angels praising God for Jesus’s birth. May this thought pour peace over you as we continue to read. Lord, we pray a supernatural pouring out of peace over every reader, every person with whom God is pleased. The world cannot understand and while forfeiting God’s provisions and securing their own free rights; it is a free world after all- right? Indeed, we are given choices. Do we go with a known God, having inspired a Bible full of scriptural truth or fall victim to the alternative? Bottom line…Peace or chaos, Heaven or hell?

Choices

The choice is simple, spiritual journeys take more effort. Hiding is not an option. The devil loves when we isolate ourselves- becoming a hittable target. There is nothing more valuable than God countering the enemy’s tricks by sending Jesus Christ to earth as a new born baby, born a virgin birth. So powerful-a multitude of angels began praising, declaring God’s peace on earth.

Christmas

As we move forward being recipients of God’s peace through Jesus Christ, let this gift of peace be extended to all we cross paths. In order to extend peace, we must have peace. Are we pleasing to God? If unsure, take time to pray and work through any doubts or barriers blocking your way. The sweetness accompanying  peace is not to be missed. It might be the missing element necessary to start this holiday season. Let’s join the angels signing praise to our one- true King.

Be encouraged!
