Need…We Need Jesus, Overcoming Evil

Need...We Need Jesus, Overcoming EvilBut I trust in your unfailing love, my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me. (Psalm 13:5,6 NIV)

Good Vs. Evil

We, the people…need you, Jesus. From far left to righteous right, we are in dire need to clear minds, soften hearts to understand, open eyes to see, lean in to hear and discern between good vs. evil. In life’s highways going every direction, cultures with their own flair, and societies conflicting good with warnings in scripture…we need Jesus.

Positive/Negative

Do we wake each morning with peace or scheming minds? For every positive, there is a negative. We can attempt to dismiss early knowledge of Jesus…The Holy Spirit is still present. Yet, sin does separate us from Jesus. Yes, the sin society has engulfed many churches to accept in the name of love. This is not love at all…buying into this lie places our souls at stake. None of us want to be left behind when God’s trumpet calls. No one knows the time or day, except God.

Prepared

As Jesus prepared his disciples for His departure, time came for Judas’ betrayal. Evil is constantly at work in this world. It was then as it is now. There is a lot of bad, hurting people hurt people. Sharp tongues cut to the bone, leaving rawness to believe in self and interact with others. Learning to love others no matter what is freeing. Those enemies can attempt to slice right into us- our skin becomes so thick not even a scratch is made- this is how love protects our entire being.

We Need Jesus

King David lived the ups and downs in life. When he made these final statements in chapter 13, one would never guess his distraught nature in the first four verses. He felt like the Lord would forget him forever to his foes rejoicing when he falls. Do we experience same- sure. Mine earlier tonight, “God, What have I done?” What I have not done likely is the case…understanding God’s unfailing love and accepting…we need Jesus, sets us on a path to victory. With Jesus, we are the overcomer!

Be encouraged!
