You are my friends, if you do what I command. (John 15:14 NIV)
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13 NIV)
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7,8 NIV)
Old Tunes…
Motivating Monday! There’s an old tune stirring in my mind…and the beat goes on..in this instance, scripture goes on. Considering what I heard yesterday, dismissing God’s favor, a red flag stirred in my spirit. When red flags stir, never dismiss. Verses bubbled over when I began seeking to support God’s favor, I believe key is understanding when we follow God’s commands, He becomes more than a Savior, He becomes a friend. Jesus even shared with His disciples in John 15 that greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
Greater Love/Greater Faith
Greater love and greater faith are terms used in scripture proving greater entities of these two topics moved Jesus to perform miracles. Jesus’ answers will always be 1) Yes 2) No or 3)Wait- not yet. Our spiritual journeys are full of ups, downs, detours, however, when we figure out there is a straight path- following God’s plan for our lives is key. And…in all sincerity, stop doubting! James tells us not to doubt for a reason- we do not want to be like waves in the sea, blown and tossed by wind or be double minded and unstable in all we do. Truth…we need Biblical Truth to ever overcome; take captive contrary thoughts to God’s Word, clean hearts- purify motives, avoid offenses- removing bitter roots not to defile many, tithe 10% to keep the devour from our finances, keep the sabbath day holy opens amazing promises(Isaiah 58), and scripture goes on…Every scripture applied leads our walk closer to holiness.
Favor
Let’s be motivated, taking serious Jesus’ commands. I am sad seeing friends fall away into satan’s schemes. Misled Christians aiding individuals, justifying sin. Sin separates us from Jesus. Repentance, asking for forgiveness is restoration back into God’s plan for our lives. If Noah found God’s favor so can we and it’s not just Noah, many more individuals found God’s favor- all seeking and walking in obedience with God’s plan. Are we willing?
Be encouraged!
