Vain Belief: Possible When Careless W/God’s Word

Vain Belief: Possible When Careless W/God's WordNow I would remind you brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you- unless you believed in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:1, 2 ESV)

Forward Friday!

Time for forward movement after considering fruitless seeds of darkness. Seeds sown will either take a positive direction or be fruitless, overshadowed by darkness. Unless staying alert, darkness will envelop those ignoring warnings, believing in vain. Satan works feverishly to deceive mankind into discrediting God’s Word, The Bible.

Truth or Vain Belief?

Are we able to stand when Biblical Truth is challenged? A few years ago, a lady shared with me how this deception happened in her beloved church. A church close to where I was raised, vain belief pushed out Truth. Nothing really shocks me, since God began my Spiritual warfare training. I know the source of all despair is satan. This can be disturbing, except I know who holds my tomorrow. God does not have favoritism, He holds tomorrow for all individuals. Only thing- those who believe, growing towards Christ in midst of our spiritual journeys, will understand this fact.

Personal Reflection

Time for personal reflection…are we holding fast to God’s Word? Are we studying- growing in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding or…buying into satan’s lies accepting sin, being deceived? Interesting studies cite an increasing number of Christians do not believe the Bible is infallible. If,  I- F…two letters carry powerful meaning. If we hold fast to God’s Word, we are saved. If not, we have believed in vain. A rude awakening when faced with eternity. I do not want anyone taken by surprise. God’s Word is Truth. We have to take God’s Word serious. Start by asking Jesus to help with understanding, open our minds to scripture. He is faithful. This approach proved true for me, becoming serious about reading/studying my Bible. I began reading in Genesis, yet, John is a great place to start, too.

Purpose…

Let’s move forward! Spiritual journeys are worth our time and effort. Every person’s journey will be unique to their God given purpose. Lessons learned finds value over stupidity of mistakes and poor choices. God takes care of all negatives…He forgives and forgets. Human nature says to remember, God says move on…so much more to focus on and accomplish. Much easier done when aligned with God’s purpose. Let’s never find ourselves believing in vain.

Be encouraged!
