But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self- control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22, 23 ESV)
Motivating Monday!
Since I’ve back from seeing an epic snowfall in Southern Texas, and freezing since not listening to the Holy Spirit, cookies have been baked, seen my middle child off to a dance, and attended our school’s Christmas concert. My oldest son was gifted with beautiful vocals and thrilled to see my middle child w/his musical talents. We have a choral director who is wonderful identifying talent in her students and promotes development of their talents. Every year, alumni are invited to join the last song, In This Very Room. Go head…start humming/singing this song, a melody that settles deep within.
Hope
Can there be enough love, joy, hope, and power to chase away any gloom? And…then, one name, Jesus, answers my question and makes all things possible. The fruit of the Spirit found in Galatians 5; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. An amazing thought…when producing this type of fruit from our own lives…there is power, God’s strength working through us. Imagine the force projected against every evil, protecting self from gloom.
Know/Believe
During the Christmas season, schedules alone can leave individuals depleted of energy, most prone to enemy attack. This year has carried heartache for many families; unexpected deaths, financial stress, and family illnesses tops the list. We need encouraged, knowing God’s love provides more than enough hope, joy, and power to chase away every gloom. When it comes down to knowing what we believe, who we believe in, and trusting God’s Word, let’s be motivated to think about what type of fruit is being produced within, projected out for people to see. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be met in every store line, every store isle, every stop sign, every red/green light…with fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Apply
This is a tall order, I know we can apply today’s thoughts in our lives- me included. Imagine the change this world would see…and most of all, the change within will be most wonderful. When good is being produced from us…there is no room for gloom.
Be encouraged!
