Ashamed? No Way! It’s Power of God…Believe

Ashamed? No Way! It's Power of God...BelieveFor I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jews first and also to the Greek. (Romans 1:16 ESV)

Motivating Monday!

What can we do different today to start new, start fresh- creating within a clean heart, taking captive contrary thoughts, becoming blameless in all we do? Sounds amazing…continuing to read in Romans 1:17- is a “WOW” For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteousness will live by faith.”

Ashamed?

Can this really happen? Yes! First, we are not to be ashamed of the gospel- God’s Word. In our teen room, I’ve had these two old windows from an old library, inserted with photo collages of our children and their friends. With bottom part of one window unneeded, we plan to place a Bible verse on top. The above verse is one I would like, due to wanting teens to understand we are not to be ashamed. For the gospel is the power of God for our salvation to all who believe.

First to Last

Maybe a more general verse like…God loves, however, this is a much misunderstood verse. God does love…He sent His one and only Son to die on the cross for mankind. Yet, this does not say…”God loves everyone, so I can do whatever I want.” Scripture states in Hebrews 12:8, “If you are not disciplined- and everyone undergoes discipline, then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.” What happens when we accept God’s precious gift of salvation, a righteousness from God is revealed. Isn’t this exciting? The world wants individuals ashamed and blinded to this truth. From first to last, God’s righteousness is not only revealed, we live by faith.

God’s Righteousness

When not ashamed of the gospel, our minds are opened to understand God’s Word, revealing God’s righteousness. Through God’s righteousness, we are empowered to live by faith. Faith is confidence in what we hope for, and assurance for what we do not see. What we cannot see, God’s Word is trusted to be true. The Bible is our final authority, therefore, vital to read, study, and understand. Let’s be motived, unashamed!

Be encouraged!
