Evil: Constantly Lurking…Avoid Deception

When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!” For Jesus had commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man. (Luke 8:28, 29a NIV)

Fair?

The devil does not play fair. The End. Of course, we cannot end so quickly. Does demon possession happen? Yes. One pastor says it this way…isolation, depression, and oppression. A fitting definition of oppression is mental pressure or distress. The devil is lurking to see who he can devour. He looks for weakened individuals, especially effective individuals pursuing God’s purpose for God’s Kingdom, enticed or caught in a weakened state. Many times when feeling weak, instinct causes us to be withdrawn. More withdrawn in a weakened state, weaker one becomes…depression, then oppression…possession.

Evil

People tapping into signs of evil…like medians, fortune tellers, horoscopes- even if thinking for fun, more room the devil has to attack your mind. Confusion is the first move in his game of catch and deceive. This is why societal confusion is worsening daily. We have gone in the last five years from prophetic warnings to real life happenings. Two states: CA and NY are most threatening to Religious Freedom, the constitution, and majority rule of the people. My husband I were discussing last night, we see on a local, state, and national level- attacks on politicians who are doing right for the American people, people of their state, and people of their community. Movement against God pleasing authorities, shining light on darkness are resistant for control and keeping dark deeds from being exposed .

Limited

The devil has a limited amount of power, however, when deceived- his power becomes dominant. We can no longer assume this world is safe. Not even in our own communities. We have to be smart- become knowledgable in Biblical Truth, gain wisdom and understanding. People perish for lack of knowledge, and they act ignorant, too- another blog for another day. It’s these individuals who are in dire need of God’s saving grace. Imagine Saul…what an amazing transformation, and how God would love to do same for us.

Moving Forward!

Jesus confronted, commanded the evil spirit to come out of the man. And…torture was the evil spirit’s concern? All havoc demons cause in people’s lives…and this demon asked for path of less torture. Instead of the abyss- he was sent into pigs. I refrain from sending the devil to flee into pigs- we have to protect our pig farmers. I guess not fair for frogs either…looks like the abyss is more feared than any place. I bet these demons wish they could go back and not be deceived into following evil, the devil. Wake up America…let’s move forward, please do not be deceived.
