Promises…God’s Faithfulness Revealed

Promises...God's Faithfulness RevealedThe righteous perish, and no one ponders it in his heart, devout men are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil. Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death. (Isaiah 57:1, 2 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

With heavy hearts, thoughts and prayers are with survivors and family members of the Duck boating tragedy in Branson, MO. Also, a fire in San Marcus, TX began early morning with five individuals missing. The sermon we heard yesterday- made a valid point, we can be with Jesus in the boat…storms still happen. What are the chances of near hurricane strength winds to happen in Southern Missouri? This promise in Isaiah 57 is near and dear to my heart. When my father passed away, The Lord led me to this verse.

Power

One of my favorite worship songs this past week has been, Yes and Amen by Pat Barrett. All of God’s promises are Yes and Amen. God is faithful. God’s thoughts and His ways are not ours and we can never forget. We have carnal minds, unless as we seek Jesus, maturing allows us to be filled with God’s power, His revelation. The more we seek, closer to Christ we become, tapping into God’s Will for our lives. Gained knowledge deepens abilities to understand, increasing wisdom. All having to do with gaining Christ’s perspective…along with discernment.

Promises

Discernment, solely for God’s purpose, having us to pray for others. Paul asked in 1 Corinthians 2- “For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?” But we have the mind of Christ. A good time to read/study 1 Corinthians 2- good information. In Christ, we have not received the spirit of the world, we receive the Spirit who is from God that we may understand all God has freely given us. Why dismiss all of God’s promises? Many do by default, because they never read/study their Bibles. This book, The Bible, is full of God’s promises. Each and every one of them are…Yes and Amen.

Spiritual Muscles

Continuing to remember and pray for all needs relating to tragedies, let’s go to God’s Word…seeking His promises. He is faithful to the end. God shows His faithfulness time and time again…building spiritual muscles. How can anyone not trust? Spiritual muscles do matter. Depending how strong, will determine how much we trust and believe in God’s promises. I believe…Yes and Amen! How about you?
