Comfort Vs. Terror, Good Vs. Evil

Comfort Vs. Terror, Good Vs. EvilI, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mortal men, the sons of men, who are but grass, that you forgot the Lord your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, that you live in constant terror every day because of the wrath of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? For where is the wrath of the oppressor? (Isaiah 51:12, 13 NIV)

The I who comforts is good. The wrath of the oppressor is evil. In this world, good vs. evil. Spiritual warfare is a term becoming more recognizable, with limited understanding. All PC churches will avoid teachings on Spiritual warfare and really only those with clear understanding are capable. We can only teach as far as our knowledge and experience allows. I would pass this mantle off to anyone wanting to learn about Spiritual warfare as I have done over last 25 years. The devil is a lier and deceiver.

Shouting for the world to hear…the devil is a lier and deceiver out to trick many as possible to break down God’s promises to His children. Parents of college age children are a group raised more 80’s/early 90’s with the 70’s giving people reason to bail on church. The next two decades held strong economy where money and recreation became people’s god, lessening importance on church. Money is not evil and God honoring tithers are protected from the devourer. The love of money is a different story. There has been an exodus from church. And…sin has increased.

Fast forward to 2018, individuals and young couples who chose to leave the church, now have children w/no solid Biblical foundation. Remember the parable, possible more the three little pigs story and big bad wolf? Each home made of different materials and the wolf was going to blow their houses down. The only one he could not- was the one built with bricks, had solid foundation. The wolf is like the oppressor, always trying to terrorize individuals, breaking strength within. When filled with God’s strength as a believer, He will sustain us during storms in life. When the devil tries to enforce terror every day, bent on destruction, we will not be shaken- God is our shield and rear guard, His strength allows us to be strong even if weak.

Making sense in societal confusion, understanding good vs. evil correctly will help bring clarity to all situations; avoiding deception- being deceived. The Lord knows…more than enough situations happening. We can change the world…looking for good, avoiding evil.

Be encouraged!
