Aha Moments…Christmas! Celebrating Jesus’ Birthday

Aha Moments...Christmas! Celebrating Jesus' BirthdaySuddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rest.”(Luke 2:13, 14 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

The shepherds careful to keep their flocks safe, became terrified when light shone around them and an angel appeared. Oh, to be these shepherds on this very night, to be selected for a visit from the angel- all pertaining to Jesus’ birth. The shepherds’ Aha moments in midst of God’s glory shining. Every detail to our lives are orchestrated when placed in vital situations under God’s directions.

Aha!

The intensity builds, as they were listening to the angel…scripture states- suddenly! A great company of heavenly host appeared, praising God. We receive glimpses on this level of interaction with God, when Aha moments happen. Aha moments are define as a point in time, event, or experience when one has a sudden insight or realization. Seeking Jesus, studying God’s Word, learning and developing deeper Biblical knowledge…more Aha moments experienced. Although, very exciting when realization hits, we need Jesus. We need a Savior- not found in humans or material items, we need Jesus Christ.

Favor

As I read today’s scripture, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rest.” How do we gain God’s favor…we become Jesus’ friend by following God’s commands. I’m reminded of our high school’s town hall meeting, beginning of every school year. Our principal is a Franciscan Monk and each year discussed- students who follow rules and do their work are favored. He really plays down fact of any favoritism. With God, there is a choice to become Jesus’ friend, moving forward beyond point of salvation. Total surrender is key towards honoring God, realizing we are at the end of ourselves and need Jesus. From here…we are a new creation and the inner workings of our entire beings change. Our desires change- friendships may change, thoughts and actions begin to change. All for the better as God’s best awaits to be given.

Merry Christmas!

May you have a very merry Christmas and a wonderful time celebrating Jesus’ birth. He alone is more powerful than all false gods gathered. God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but, have everlasting life...John 3:16. God gave and Jesus was born…Happy Birthday, Jesus! Grateful.

Be encouraged!
