I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together! (Psalm 34:1-3 ESV)
Magnify
Oh! Magnify The Lord with me, let us exalt His name together! He is worthy of all our praise. The first full week of January 2019 swiftly becoming a memory. My oldest is packed and ready to head back to college. I noticed area campuses are opening dorms sooner, to help students beat the snow storm. My son hopes to avoid any winter mix, heading to Texas. This officially marks end of our Christmas season. There is reason for praise to continually be in my mouth, radiating from my heart. I am grateful!
A Good Choice
Ever think about writing our own book of praises, like King David? Living for Jesus turns from a choice into a lifestyle. It’s the life I want to live. How about you? A good choice we can live with…not regretting one day, Jesus’ words, “I never knew you.” Scripture is clear- wide is the gate to destruction and narrow is the gate to eternal life with Jesus. I wonder about parents today who chose to leave Jesus’ teachings behind when leaving their childhood home. Now an entire generation raised- void of Jesus’ teachings, lending to a world of deception and uncertainty.
Praise
The world is constantly changing, yet, trusting in Jesus…daily interactions, knowing He’s our Heavenly Father, studying God’s Word; opens our minds with understanding and mouths filled with praise. God’s way is better than any self- designed ideology. When a person is wrapped in self…no one is there saying, “I am your shield and rear guard.” A friend of Jesus’ can always trust God is our shield and rear guard. He promises in Psalm 34:4 I sought the Lord, and He answered me and delivered me from all my fears. In order to be delivered from all our fears, we first pray and discuss any fears with Jesus, asking for deliverance. What he did for King David, He will do for us- who are living for Christ.
Moving Forward!
I’m thankful in a world looking every direction, except Jesus…we can be who we are in Christ. And…when people wonder about our inner peace, joyful smile, resilience…all they have to do is ask. We’ll be prepared with an answer…Jesus. Let’s move forward this weekend with praise overflowing from our hearts…exalting His name together.
Be encouraged!
