Accuse: Heart Matters and Releasing Truth

Accuse: Heart Matters and Releasing TruthAnother time he went into the synagogue, and a man with a shriveled hand was there. Some of them were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal him on the Sabbath. Jesus said to the man with the shriveled hand, “Stand up in front of everyone.” (Mark 3:1-3 NIV)

Heart Matters…

Wednesday has always been known as hump day. The day once completed has the weekend in sight. I like taking this day to discuss deeper matters of the heart. The interactions Jesus had with the Pharisees, are intriguing to read. We face similar situations, as a few stories have hit national news and made way to the Supreme Court. There are individuals- groups formed who watch closely, finding reason to accuse.

What made Jesus a target? He’s light, the one spending time in prayer- hearing from God, fulfilling His purpose. He was healing and sitting people free from affliction. Every time a person was healed, the crowd followed. He miraculously fed 4,000 individuals and 5,000 on a different day. This did not settle well with the self-righteous Religious leaders. Therefore, using His desire to heal on the Sabbath as reason to arrest him- to murder Jesus. When Jesus said to the man- to stand up in front of everyone…Jesus was ready to make a point. It is not unlawful to heal on the Sabbath.

There are groups/individuals around our country, in our communities ready to accuse. Target? Christianity. God’s Word informs in this world we will have trouble, yet, be encouraged- we will overcome. This is from John 16:33, one of my favorite Bible verses. The reason why Jesus taught in parables for His disciples to understand, and easier for us today. Unless we understand Spiritual Armor, which is knowing God’s Word, and understanding Ephesians 6, we’ll have trouble standing firm. Today is a great day to study over Ephesians 6.

We have zero time to entertain fear. Equipping ourselves with God’s Word, able to recall scripture necessary to rebuke anyone ready to accuse. As we do, we’re following Jesus’ example set after fasting 40 days and nights, and recalling God’s Word against satan working hard to accuse Him. God’s Word will always prove faith over fear. It’s a heart matter…

Be encouraged!
