Help! Do Not Fear, Reach Out Right Hand…

“For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

People are amazed I do not drink alcohol or coffee. When my children were little, I was asked, “How do you do this, not even wine?” Where does my help come from? Jesus Christ. Coffee is fine, likely requests as a child to drink coffee ended with a sharp- No. My parens loved coffee. Mt. Dew was my vice. I never realized the toll caffeine can have on human bodies. No other explanation to be 32 and need a spinal fusion. Caffeine is addictive and withdraws happen when trying to stop- massive headaches. I was joking with a friend- imagine how bubbly I was drinking three Mt. Dews a day.

Consumed?

What in your life, has consumed part of your mind, body, or soul? When God does for one, He’ll do for others. With God’s help, during fasting and praying, I’ve never touched Mt. Dew again, and with no headache. God is good. Never a dessert person, I had all the caffeine needed. Almost immediately, my body shifted to sugar. The struggle is real. Hind sight is always 20-20. I have good news!

“The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the Lord will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them. I will make rivers flow on barren heights and springs within the valleys. I will turn the desert into pools of water and the parched grounds into springs. God, the Holy One, our Redeemer. (Verses 17-19) Please take time to read Chapter 41. God is willing!

Thirsty?

We can be Christians for a long time and find ourselves dry and thirsty- spiritually speaking. My time spent in the desert, ended in hotter fire, more refined as God knew I needed to be. Towards the end of this particular season, we moved. As we entered a new church for a short season, I was a sponge grasping for more, and God so faithful began pouring fountains over us, until fountains began flowing from us.

Help

No matter where you are in life- Do not fear. The God I serve, and many who are reading, we can be trusted…God will help you, too. God is doing a new thing! Let’s be motivated- this is very exciting!
