The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord. (Psalm 34:10, 11 NIV)
Forward Friday!
We all know individuals who become flustered to understand Scripture. We either press in or allow discouragement to steal our opportunity to seek the Lord. This scripture alone shows reason why we want to seek Jesus Christ. The Trinity: God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit…all in one. Society has this backwards…lions in movies are shown as strength and weakness is justified and accepted. When trusting God, seeking and finding, we lack no good thing.
Pray
Frustrated? Take a deep breath and ask The Holy Spirit to help us understand. I believe Jesus is willing to help- as He sits at God’s right hand interceding on our behalf. The disciples walked with Jesus, and had difficulty understanding His teachings. Until…God opened their minds to understand. Lord Jesus, I pray for every individual seeking you and currently frustrated or has not opened their Bible in a long time, please give each one courage to begin and open their minds to understand. Your Word is power to every second of our every day. The more we study Scripture, more we are able to apply to situations in our lives or our family, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Free Mind
There are really good people, who have a tendency to pray against good happening for other people. The competitive parent who prays for teammate to not preform as well as their child. I’ve learned to really watch myself- I don’t want to be found guilty of this action. If tendency comes, I begin to pray for good to happen. This frees our minds and prayers for God to work in our own children. Same can be said for companies- employee situations. We have to guard our hearts. I love reading Psalm 34.
We learn:
- The eyes of the Lord is on the righteous.
- His ears are attentive to their cry.
- The face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
- Righteous cry out, The Lord hears and delivers from all their troubles.
- The Lord is close to the broken hearted, and saves crushed spirits.
- A righteous man may have many troubles, The Lord delivers him from all.
- God protects our bones. (Besides two blown disc- I’ve never had a broken bone.)
- Evil slays the wicked.
- Foes of the righteous will be condemned.
- The Lord redeems His servants, no one will be condemned who takes refuge in Him.
God’s Promises
Let’s move forward, trusting God’s Word. As societal confusion has reached out of control- only God’s people praying and uniting will ever break most people from deception. Evil will not prevail. We are beginning to see how evil slays wicked. The question: Will justice be served? This is no time to buy into weakness and hunger, God promises to deliver from all our troubles. Broken hearted/crushed spirit, God is near to you- reach out and allow him to take all hurt. Moving forward, taking refuge in Jesus- who’s with me?
Be encouraged!
