Struggle: Understanding Source and Resolve

Struggle: Understanding Source and ResolveFor our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against all spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12 NIV)

Forward Friday!

I am shouting glory right now! When blogging last week, I opened to a very confusing format- thinking an upgrade. Praying while opening tonight to understand, my original is back! Thank you, Jesus! Maybe…because I am back! No, I shared with a few friends, thankful for your prayers. The devil is the author of all confusion. And…not only confusion…every struggle.

Conflict

Years ago, I was confronted with conflict; became a real struggle. I was young and not near as matured as I thought, and another Christian who I assumed was more mature. This went on for a few years, until, I kept growing in my Spiritual walk and began to understand Ephesians 6:12. It was not this person’s flesh and blood nor mine, the culprit was the devil’s attempt to prevent God’s Will and ruin our character.

Trust

Once I realized, I made a conscious decision to trust God’s Word, and never allow this person’s actions to control a response from me. I stopped reacting. Aggravation and frustrations gradually began to go away. The other side of conflict may never change and even worsen, yet, when we keep our eyes on Jesus…He fights our every battle. Exodus 14:14 The Lord will fight for you, you only need to be still. The devil will use any willing participant, make sure not us.

Struggle

God knows the heart of every individual. Struggle/conflict is part of every day life. Why? Because, the devil is ruler of the air we breathe. Utopia would be wonderful, yet, will not happen until Jesus returns. In the mean time, struggle is not against flesh and blood, yet, against the spiritual forces of darkness. God did not allow Lucifer to overtake Heaven. We do not need to allow evil to control. If we operate under God’s authority, God’s power, His protection, all our identity in Christ; we’ll win over evil. Only through Jesus Christ, our Lord and His Word, growing in Spiritual Maturity can we overcome. Knowing God’s Word is key.

Be encouraged!
