Trust the Lord…And Do Good, God is Faithful

Trust the Lord...And Do Good, God is FaithfulFret not yourself because of evil doers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. (Psalm 37:1-3 ESV)

Good News!

A time to search hearts, and be reminded of God’s good news! We can become heavy laden when circumstances do not align like with think they should. We see ourselves or our children’s hard work, train hard and then when by world standards, disappointment fills our hearts. What I have been reminded this week, I want to encourage you.

Trust

Look back at the beginning of the situation- who did we trust? Did we trust God or trust self ? Did we falsely believe in our own strength, and most of the time we do this by default? A situation with my daughter- we completely trusted God and asked for Him to guide us. It’s easy to keep eyes on world standards and how the world promotes or not. Thankful God reminded me- His ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are much higher than our thoughts. From the beginning of seeking God’s direction, we have been on a much higher level playing field.

Life

Life can be felt like a game…and evil doers are constantly taking out competition by words spoken against, or actions taken against by manipulation or political pull. This is why keeping our eyes on Jesus, removes any angst or disappointment. Trust in the Lord is in an entire different realm, we will not understand unless we desire to trust God and dig deeper in God’s Word; increasing knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.

Faithfulness

God’s Word is true…let’s not fret because of evil doers, refuse to allow envy to enter our hearts. Situations can be seen on red alert…when they will soon fade away like the grass and wither like the green herb. In the mean time…do good and dwell in the land, befriending faithfulness. God’s faithful and when we show Him our faithfulness, he will reveal such sweet offerings of encouragement. I know this may sound good, yet trouble believing. I assure anyone thinking this…trust in The Lord, and watch how quick situations will turn, problems will fade, and the grass withers.

Be encouraged!
