Time…Culture War Deepens and God’s Word Fades

Then he(angel) told me(John), “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near. Let him who does wrong continue to do wrong; let him who is vile continue to be vile; let him does right continue to do right; and let him who is holy continue to be holy.” “Behold, I(Jesus) am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” (Revelation 22:10-13 NIV)

Forward Friday!

We spent time last weekend with our oldest son, a member of Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets. Being a Senior, this was his last Aggie Football game and march in the Corps. I went to my first Mid-night yell! Each Yell-Leader spent time reciting the Bible verse they wear on their uniform. Thank you, Jesus for this public University who allows God’s Word on their campus and during one of their key events for home football games. Earlier this fall while there, they were preparing for Constitution Week! It does matter where our children attend schools, pre-school through College. With this wonderful image in my mind; I am reminded how a simple statement…attacks on God honoring Leaders, responding to a fox news post, showed the depth of the culture war we’re under.

Bibles

After responding to a few, I’m reminded…we have people in our country, who have no respect for God’s Word or Truth. I have to wonder how many people in our country, have zero thoughts concerning Bibles. We once had a country 30+ years ago, where everyone knew about The Bible. They either chose to go to Church or not. Now, The Bible is amiss in many minds and especially…hearts.

Truth

Today’s message is timely. People have traded Truth for lies. Jesus said we’d have days like this- never dreamt during my time. Isiah 5:20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! There will be an awakening day, just too late for many.

Time

When time comes to an end, we will give account for all we’ve done. No one is excluded, every knee will bow and tongue confess…Jesus is Lord. He is the Alpha and Omega, First and the Last, Beginning and The End. The culture does not define God’s Laws. Truth is…we have work to do. Let’s move forward, speaking Truth in love; no longer justifying sin or dismissing God’s Word. Let’s not be satisfied leaving people ignorant, though no respect is shown. We are to love our enemies, and bless them. The best blessing we can give, is to share Biblical Truth to save and set them free.
