“We Don’t Know,” Let’s Do Better! Yes, We Can!

"We Don't Know," Let's Do Better! Yes, We Can!Jesus replied, “I will ask you one question. If you answer me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. John’s baptism- where did it come from? Was it from heaven or from men?” They(Chief Priest and Elders) discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘from heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’ But if we say, ‘From men’- we are afraid of the people, for they all hold that John was a prophet.” So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Matthew 21:24-27 NIV)

Forward Friday!

Today’s Scripture is action packed with many points of discussion. Much like how my thoughts have been this week- from no Motivating Monday…The Lord dropped Detangled Tuesday in my thoughts, and this seemed quite appropriate. We may very well begin a Detangled Tuesday post, there is daily detangling needed to sort truth from lies heard in media and all social outlets. Two sides cannot believe others believe the way they do. Scary when Christians are opposing truth, and what is truth, and who do we trust. I’ve tried to explain my calling too many times. I trust God will soften the hearts of those- He plans to open ears to hear and eyes to see. Too many people across America are answering, “We don’t know.” Unable or not willing to stand for Truth.

“We Don’t Know”

“We don’t know,” was a cop out for the Church leaders. Why? They did not want to acknowledge the Truth that Jesus was from heaven nor offend the people. Today, High Priest and Elders- aka Ministers for many of us, have to face this very question. Authority- God, our Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ, and The Holy Spirit is our foundation- our Authority for Truth. We cultivate wisdom, knowledge, and understanding like farmers work the fields, plant seeds, and eventually harvest a crop. God works in our hearts, changing our minds to become in alignment with our hearts- all in sync as we mature in Christ. We take captive contrary thoughts, that do not align with God’s Word. We must study Scripture to know Truth.

Acknowledging

It’s not in our interest to miss acknowledging Jesus Christ’s Authority. We must move forward, not being afraid to speak Truth, acknowledging God and His Sovereignty. Jesus is The Word, and The Word was with Him, all in the beginning with God. He is our Creator, Alpha and Omega- beginning and the end. No Societal Confusion or deception surprises Him today. We must not be paralyzed with fear. Ephesians 6- let’s refresh our memory on God’s Armor, we must be prepared and equipped. Let’s stand firm, avoiding the…”We don’t know.”
