Truth, Way, Life Vs. Lies, Lost, Death

Truth, Way, Life Vs. Lies, Lost, DeathJesus said to him(Thomas), “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Jesus said to him(Philip), “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father?’…” (John 14:6, 9 ESV)

Truth

The disciples spent priceless time with Jesus. He could hardly believe Philip asked him to see the Father. Interesting what Jesus thinks about his disciples today. Acknowledging Jesus as Savior- or not, He is the way, truth, and life. No one will go to Heaven without surrendering their own ideology or the world’s ideologies. It’s not taking much to stir societal confusion. The reason for this…there is a movement opposite direction of Jesus, which means…the wrong way, lies, and death.

Freedom vs. Confusion

We’ve had freedom for so long; opportunities to attend church, study God’s Word, and worship Jesus freely- that it’s taken for granted by many. Deception turning our society in a whirlwind, has me concerned for how many are left standing strong if no solid foundation was ever built. Knowing Biblical Truth is knowing Jesus, He is the Word of God- John 1:1. More we study and learn scripture, more we learn about Jesus. And…I see the division in America…wondering how people say they can be Christians, when they are not aligned with Biblical Truth. Their actions are mixed with deception, trying to prove they are right. Yet, if it is opposite of God’s Word, they are moving in the wrong direction. Jesus said there would be days like this…

Clarity

Scripture clearly states to test the spirits: Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God. For many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God; every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. (1 John 4:1,2 ESV) Be aware there are false religions spreading in America as well as false prophets and false teachers, all leading people astray. In Jeremiah 50- God said, “My people have been lost sheep; their shepherds have led the astray.” The best thing we can do- ask Jesus to help us understand the scriptures, study them for our own growing knowledge. Then we can always know if our Shepherd/Pastor/Priest is teaching truth.

Think…

Without Truth- we do not have Jesus. Remember He is the way, truth, and life. Any other direction is opposite- lost, lies, and death. Let’s really take a moment to think, making sure we always seek Truth, refusing to support false propaganda.

Be encouraged!
