Clutter Removed, Hearing Restored

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. (1Corinthians 2:9,12)

Clutter distracts us from hearing God's direction.

Clutter, Clutter, Clutter

Motivating Monday! Get your jogging shoes on! Here we go! We endure an abundance of clutter in our lives. Between mass mailings of junk mail and telemarketing calls, we have yet touched our daily schedules. We eat more words than calories on certain days. I applaud parents who limit their children to one activity. We can have ourselves stretched so thin, critical objectives fall through. I am sharing my own heart here. Clutter! Clutter consumes our thoughts and almost paralyzes our ability to move forward.

We make the choice

We are born into the spirit of the world. We make the choice to separate ourselves from this spirit permeating in the world. As a child of Christ, we receive the Holy Spirit at the time of our salvation. The Holy Spirit is our helper, counselor, and teacher all in one. We think we have our hands full! As we learn more about Jesus, we learn more about the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit within helping us understand all the plans God has prepared.

Imagine

With the help of the Holy Spirit, take a moment to imagine. What are all the possibilities God has prepared for you? What is He nudging you about right now?

  • Ponder all you know is true.
  • Think about the promises in God’s word.
  • Consider prophetic words spoken over your life.
  • Recall scripture God has purposefully had you circle.

Keep our eyes on Jesus

It is incredibly important to keep our eyes on Jesus and not our circumstances. By this I mean, redirect your thoughts back to these points made above. As we pursue God-given plans, you can count on distractions. This time last year, my website and blog were unknown to me. As I was seeking the Lord, He kept telling me to keep my eyes on Him. As clock work, satan was there to distract. God’s urgency became clear, I must keep my eyes on the Lord. I had no concept of the extent to what God had in store for me. Last week, I received a request for use of one of my blogs. This was from a dear sister in Kenya. She let me know yesterday, this message is helping many. I could drop right now on my knees and praise God for all He is doing! A-MAZING! Whatever God has called you to do, do with the anointing within you. I am confident every plan involves another human being. We need to be the hands, feet and voice of Jesus who trust us for such a time as this.

Be encouraged!
