Race For All Mankind

Life's race for all mankindAll scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3: 16,17 NIV)

A new creation

Once we ask Jesus to be our Lord and Savior, we are a new creation. All of the old is gone and the new as come. We find ourselves suited up for a race. One may feel uncertain yet anxious and excited all at one time. We have doubt removed, opened for intake of new information. Where do we go from here? We go to God’s Word, the Bible. Simply ask Jesus to help you understand the scriptures. Through His grace, you will be able to understand. God will never give us more than we can handle.

 Life’s race

People are different. Our life experiences are different. Different goals are set. We have different levels of appetite for God’s Word. We all embark on a race, the race called life. We know everyone has the same start line and  finish line. Yet everyone starts and finishes with different times. Some do not finish. Some never start. Never judge where you are according to where someone else is in their race. The race is between you and the Lord. Jesus is Savior for all mankind. He is only a friend to those who follow His commands.

The Bible

As we embark on this race with Jesus or we have been in this race for a long time, the Bible is our manual. We can sip spiritual milk for years or set a quick goal for solid food. With the Holy Spirit’s help, we can understand how the Bible will be helpful in teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. Through this we will be equipped for every good work. We are only ready for every good work when we feel the Holy Spirit’s nudge, turn away from sin, and seek holiness. We have to ask ourselves milk or solid food? Where are we in life’s race?

Today is Motivating Monday! Let’s celebrate God’s inspired Word, the Bible. God’s Word is a light to our path and a lamp to our feet. The Bible is truth.

Be encouraged!
