Biblical Truth Sets People Free- Free Indeed!

Biblical Truth Sets People Free- Free Indeed! The Word of the Lord came to me: “Son of man, if a country sins against me by being unfaithful and I stretch my hand against it to cut off its food supply and send famine upon it and kill its men and their animals, even if these three men-Noah, Daniel, and Job- were in it, they could save only themselves by their righteousness.” declares the Sovereign Lord. (Ezekiel 14:12-14 NIV)

Division

Dear friends, we face serious times. There is no joke with division in our country where clear lines are drawn. This is not about tolerance or acceptance. It is about offering Biblical truth in love. Speaking truth in love sets people free. Those who struggle with decisions, Biblical truth presented in love brings clarity. We see individuals who stand against Biblical truth burn with anger as they present their side. We do not need the church reacting this way.

Confusion

The devil loves confusion. A person decides to follow Christ, begins to live by the Bible. Many have trusted their Pastor’s sermon to be their only necessity of God’s Word. In most cases, one sermon for seven days. Would you only eat one meal for seven days? No, bodies become weak. Same thing with our inner spirit. When our spirit is weak, sin is more apt to be welcomed. Stronger sin becomes in our lives, more Biblical truth rejected. Sin separates ourselves from God, who is holy. Which brings us to the above scripture. If a country sins against Christ, after much time is given to repent, God’s sovereignty will prevail. More our country moves away from Biblical truth, more intense God’s wrath builds. Eventually a pot of water boils over, so will the Lord’s wrath.

Biblical Truth

Who will be saved? Those who are righteous in God’s sight. The world stays confused on the word…righteousness. Self-righteousness is a bad thing. Righteousness as a free gift from Christ is a good thing. A great time to study the lives of Noah, Daniel, and Job. In each situation, their faith was challenged. Noah faced scrutiny of a community. Daniel stood up to a King. Job lost everything, even endured his own disease. Noah succeeded in building the ark, saving mankind and all animals. Daniel became stronger and healthier, survived the lions den. Job…became doubly blessed in all he had.

Strength

It’s Forward Friday! What might God ask of you? Where will your strength come from? Does He see us wrapped in sin-being unfaithful or by our righteousness? Let’s move forward evaluating what we believe. Do we believe Biblical truth? If so, does the world know? Lots to think about.

Be encouraged!
