Gift From God Enables Discipleship of All Nations

Gift of God Enables Discipleship to All NationsThen Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything  I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28: 18-20 NIV)

Gift of the Holy Spirit

Soon after Jesus spoke these words, He ascended to heaven. He took his place at the right hand of God, the Father. Disciples waited for God’s promised gift. They spent time worshiping Him and returned to Jerusalem full of joy. God’s gift of the Holy Spirit is offered to each believer, still relevant for today. In exchange of our salvation prayer, the Holy Spirit enters our heart.

Seek

More we seek Him, the more we find Him. More peace will flow through us, by expanding wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of Christ. I’m grateful. I cannot imagine my life without Christ. He is an invaluable gift. When we tap into His thoughts and His ways…it’s A-Mazing. So much time is wasted with personal struggles of self vs. God. I wish I could sit down with each individual and share how wonderful our God is and how He makes room for more every day.

  • Those who do not feel lovable, Jesus loves you.
  • Those full of regret over past mistakes, Jesus is our redeemer.
  • Those sick, Jesus is our Great Physician.
  • Those who are depressed, oppressed, and possessed…Jesus is our deliverer.
  • Those who lose things often, Jesus is our eyes to find.
  • Those who are drifting, possibly lost…Jesus is the light to our path, and a lamp for our feet.
  • Those who are thirsty, Jesus is an overflowing fountain.
  • Those who are hungry, God’s Word provide food for our souls.

Find

Jesus is our everything. I only tapped the outer layer. Deep hurts and scars buried within, Jesus is our comforter. He wants to set you free. Reach out and grab His hand, He is the foundation to stand on. A true gift. God’s Word is meat. Did you know our initial days in faith is likened to sipping milk? It’s okay, God does not expect us to go from milk to meat in 0 to 60. Our spiritual journey is a process. If we learn early to keep our eyes on Jesus, we avoid delayed time. Only when God sees us maturing, can He trust us with more. Those who are faithful in little, will be faithful in much. Then…we are ready to hear directions to which Nation, God calls us to help disciple other believers.

Are you ready?

It’s Forward Friday! Are you ready to move forward in God’s amazing plans for your life, accepting His free gift? Be willing to listen as He instructs. It’s His way, not ours in order to find His perfect peace.

Be encouraged!
