Individuals’ Ability to Move Beyond Mistakes

“…No weapon formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17 NIV)

God’s love

Oh Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth. How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would out number the grains of sand.(Psalm 139:17,18 NIV) Jesus died on the rugged cross as the ultimate sacrifice. God’s thoughts for all individuals out number the grains of sand! Can our minds conceive this level of love?

Individuals

We discussed last week how mistakes repented move us forward into God’s will. However, we know individuals who love to recall our mistakes. How do we react to these individuals? First step is to pray. As the Lord leads…attempt to make amends and seek forgiveness. If the person is a mature christian, the situation will be handled pleasing to the Lord.

Maturity Prevails

When maturity is questionable, we cannot expect both parties to move forward. Therefore, our skin toughens as we dig deeper into God’s Word. In the natural, old habits surface if we are not careful. Except, the firmer foundation through studying God’s Word, surfaces grace. Grace allows us to react in love. The more we react with grace, stronger we become.

God’s Vindication

Often we quote, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper.” This is excellent scripture to help war off any type of negative attack. I love the following statement. God’s declaration continues…every accusing tongue is to be refuted. This is our heartiage as a servant of the Lord. His vindication protects you and me.

Move on!

It’s Motivating Monday! Take the first paragraph with God’s love and the last paragraph with God’s promise of vindication, we have no need to worry ourselves over opposing individuals. Many times individuals who are not able to move on have deeper issues holding us more as a target. A good word for today…most people cannot hit a moving target. Keep moving forward! When God is our source, we are well protected!
