Laws: Meaningful For Protection & Purpose

Laws: Meaningful For Protection & PurposeAll scripture is God- breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16,17 NIV)

Crossing intersections and arriving at four-ways, driving laws are followed. When these laws are not followed, law enforcement holds us accountable. Laws are placed in societies for our protection. Memories are activated every time we pull to a four-way allowing traffic to flow in sink. Can you imagine lawlessness without them? Sadly, deaths are mourned from tragedies this past weekend where driving laws were not followed.

Transfer these thoughts to God’s law for protection in our lives. When scripture is learned, it’s embedded ready for activation as needed. Jesus, himself said in this world, we’d have trouble. However, Jesus overcame this world and so can we. We overcome by standing firm in scripture. More scripture is allowed to refine our lives through teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, better we are equipped to handle life’s obstacles.

To be thoroughly prepared for every good work, takes years of refining. God will not release us into our destiny, until we are thoroughly equipped. This is not to be taken lightly. When we think we’ve arrived- enjoy your humble pie. One food item vowed to never be eaten again- is humble pie for me. As God trains in righteousness, He takes our loudest attribute and purifies for His intended purpose.

My oldest child answered strength and weakness questions for an application this past summer. He stated his strengths and then came to his weakness. I love how he saw his strength had once been his weakness. Scripture accepted as truth, welcomes correction, turning our weakness into strength. Let’s pray for our family and friends who reject Jesus and Biblical Truth. There is so much more God has waiting for each individual, if we surrender to God’s will. Somehow- before it’s too late, we have a world to save.

Be encouraged!
