Hard Work Combined W/God’s Power: A Win-Win

Hard Work Combined W/God's Power: A Win-WinBut if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, purifies us from all sin. (1 John 1:7 NIV)

Viewpoint

Forward Friday! Oh, happy day…oh, happy day…when Jesus washed my sins away. We step out of darkness into God’s glorious light. Old self is now new, a child of the most high. King Jesus sitting next to God, interceding as the Holy Spirit is working within. God’s power unified from a heavenly viewpoint. On our end, we tap into God’s power and gear up for hard work.

Hard Work

Is there anything worthy to gain without hard work? Most of the time, what’s not worked hard for is eventually lost. So far this month, I’ve been in prayer and fasting working hard to place my inner Spirit man back in control over my flesh. Spirit wants what God wants, flesh wants what the world wants. In my case, this includes too much food, the wrong kind of food, and setting food up as a false god. I never thought of food as a false god until recently. Yet, if my excitement for food exceeds my excitement for God- there is a red flag. Food is not a sin, unless indulgence controls our brains. As the case with any addiction.

Destiny

We get ourselves into these situations, then lose stamina to turn situations around. Jesus purifying us from all sin, washed all our sins away. Indeed, every day is a happy day. I think we easily forget to be happy. If we grasp how important Jesus’s death on the cross was for our salvation, we would not only be happy- we would be singing and dancing in the streets. You may be the spark, God uses to begin a world wide revival. With hard work, we’ll all be following God’s path fulfilling our destiny. Yes! O happy day!

Be encouraged!
