Dwelling Places…Stand With Treasure Within

Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. (Proverbs 4:23 NIV)

Dear Jesus,

Please have mercy upon us, we crowd many directions flowing around us that we lose sight of the very gift of life. Hearing a sermon yesterday struck a chord on strengthening physical bodies to please you. As the pastor shared, there has always been a dwelling place for God here on earth. Be it in the tent, Jesus on earth, and now we house temples within for The Holy Spirit…powerful. May we consider everyday…impact we are here to make on earth. In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.

Dwelling

A few times since choosing what to eat- the pastor’s words came to mind. Is this green and did it just die? I thought funny, yet, I do believe truth there. This dwelling stood out to me. Four lanes are being developed near this little nostalgic place. I needed to turn around and happened to find in the middle of a road. You can see a little pavement of one busy road. How has this dwelling survived all these years?

Hearts

The locked door glares at me and I wonder…what treasure awaits within. It’s like our hearts are a dwelling place for The Holy Spirit. Do we prove worthy to house The Holy Spirit? As junk is removed- bitterness, envy, jealousy, unworthiness, anger, frustration, resentment; sadly, there is a great amount of junk taking up space in our hearts. However, more junk removed- greater treasures stand out. It becomes easier to hear God’s faint whispers and feel The Holy Spirit’s nudge. Being able to hear God’s direction reduces wrong turns.

Treasure

I’m excited to share this week various finds on paths traveled. They strike thoughts within. May we all be motivated to examine conditions of our hearts and make pleasing a dwelling space for The Holy Spirit. We’re incapable of imagining all God has for us, until step by step destiny is revealed. It Motivating Monday! Let’s remove junk and shine treasure within!
