Secure Positions- Guard/Don’t Take For Granted

Secure Positions- Guard/Don't Take For GrantedHis (Paul) letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from a secure position. (2 Peter 3:16b, 17 NIV)

Monday!

Hello Monday! Here we meet again, motivated for a great week ahead. Positive attitudes impact one’s outcome. Picture a person walking forward unaware of all mishaps behind them missed. Walking ahead secure with clear minds.

Be On Guard

Paul’s high level of education came through his writing. Where many dismiss Bibles today due to inability to understand. There are those who distort causing their own destruction-eventually. Our concern is to be on guard against those who distort scripture.

Distortion

One of the major distortions is when Christians justify wine because Jesus turned water into wine (John 2:1-11). If we look into this scripture passage further- Jesus initially did not want to be bothered. His purpose turning water into wine- He proved his glory in providing the best- saving the best wine for last when others would have provided cheap. How many times do we dismiss God’s glory, accepting the world’s tug against our secure position?

Spiritual Armor

I think many are growing tired- when time is now to prepare for battle. Placing on spiritual armor discussed in Ephesians 6:10-18. More individuals slumber- staggering indifference, further scripture is distorted, causing increased deception.

Breakthroughs

Yesterday during worship, one song went- Now my eyes are open…now I can see. What a breakthrough point for individuals seeking Jesus- seeking Biblical Truth. The enemy’s glaze is removed. When so many are spiritually blind, coming to know Christ- have their eyes opened…Powerful!

Secure

No one can take secure positions for granted. The Lion roars, the devil roams. Jesus makes a way loud and clear- accepting His hand. The devils moves silently- seeing who he can devour. Let’s all be motivated to be on guard, strengthening our spiritual armor, protecting our secure position.

Be encouraged!
