Shine Illuminates From Inner Core…Ready?

Shine Illuminates From Inner Core...Ready?Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. (Philippians 2:14,15 ESV)

Monday…Grumble?

Motivating Monday! Hello! As soon as I read this verse, my mind went straight to this little song…He’s still working on me, to make me what I ought to be… Can I ever grumble and dispute- this worldly behavior comes very natural to me. Clearly, scripture says it is wrong to grumble and dispute. Therefore, change in me is necessary in order to shine.

Illuminate

Shining on the outside and not on the inside…doesn’t quite pass the test. Only an inner glow produced by time spent seeking more of Jesus- can expand to illuminate one’s dark world. Just like others can gage one to be rotten to the core. How about we turn this around to be pure to the core? Once our hearts become pure- all junk removed, this glow evolves and expands.

Surface

I was visiting a church yesterday, one I’ve visited a few times. On the surface, seems like a wonderful God pleasing church. Pastor seems to care for his flock, has not appeared to be ego centered. As worship songs continues, the thought surfaced…is this church pure to the core. Same with individuals as core to congregations all over this world.

Interfering

God desires blemishes removed- He sent Jesus to die for our sins. We just have to ask for forgiveness and sin no more. When we become serious about change, with God’s help we can break interfering habits, like grumbling and disputing. Interfering? Yes, worldly habits interfere with God’s best for our lives. It’s a matter of darkness vs. light- attaching self to this crooked and twisted generation or be a light helping others out of darkness.

Shine

Let’s be motivated to examine areas that may need to soften, allowing God to dig out rotten cores, only to replace whatever is pure- scripture says to think about such things. As God continues to work and make us what we ought to be- let’s try on our end to be blameless and innocent. Ready to shine? I say…let’s shine bright!

Be encouraged!
