Yet, I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. (Habakkuk 3:18 NIV)
Laughter
Motivating Monday! Yes, here are again and I want us to laugh. Laughter is the overflow of joy within waiting to be released. Lots have been discussed on feelings and emotions. I’m focusing on joy…joy of the Lord is our strength. Joy produced in our relationship with Jesus, not circumstances, propels strength. Are we happy and we don’t know?
Resolve
Habakkuk became tired of seeing evils in his world. He decided to call out to God. This is a short book in the Bible. I highly encourage you to read. By chapter three he noted…even if the fig tree does not bud, no grapes on vines, olive crops fail, fields produce no food, no sheep in pen, and no cattle in the stalls, he will still rejoice in the Lord. Quite the resolve gained after his time with God.
Circumstances
I love to laugh. I’ve not always found joy in my circumstances. If we look to circumstances or other individuals for joy, we’re apt to find disappointment. No one can fill a void left open belonging to God. He loves the church and He loves you. This fusion of church and you- is met by my heart’s desire. To see churches healthy- because Christians are seeking God and aligning with His Word allowing a true description of Christ to be seen on earth.
Joy
Taking our eyes of everything else, seeking Jesus- the source of joy. We’ll find laughter barreling over no matter our circumstances. A memory from teenage years- I was not laughing, yet everyone in my vehicle was laughing. Circumstance did not improve. As I decided to pull away from drive-thru in haste, my vehicle became lodged on the unseen raised concrete. There we were stuck, blocking McDonald’s drive-thru, and laughter increased. I completely crack up thinking back to this…we had the best time raised in our small community and so much laughter.
Your Turn…
Now your turn… do you have a funny story to share? Please do. It will be great to have today filled with laughter. As circumstances may not produce joy- a little talk with Jesus will completely change our perspective. We’ll be able to rejoice in the Lord and be joyful in our Savior. He is so good! All of the time.
Be encouraged!
