Intentions: Making list- Taking Action

Intentions: Making list- Taking ActionThe path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going down to the grave. (Proverbs 15:24 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

Motivating Monday! Get set, take deep breath, let’s go! Go where? Let’s start this week off with positive intentions. Starting with pre-meditated intentions will work towards intentions taking action to complete. I’m not really a list maker, as my husband encourages me to do. Yet, I think time to take his advice and make effort towards being more productive. Now, I have to wonder how much more I can pack into being mom in summertime with soon to be three teenagers…this is where I get into prayer and ask God items to list.

Measuring

Yesterday, my daughter wanted to make her dad a cake. As she was happily measuring away, I noticed she was not measuring exact. I’m a stickler- follow recipe and measure exact. She did not feel the importance. I’m reminded how relatable this is to society today. With Father’s Day celebrated, not everyone is able to celebrate with good intentions, understandably so. Where earthly fathers fail us, God, our Heavenly Father, will never fail. Those who feel God does fail…please understand…He will never conform to our worldliness. Therefore, He is not failing us, we fail to align with God’s commands. Many set out with good intentions, yet, the world tugs back when effort to move forward is realized. To follow God’s commands, we have to move beyond intention taking action to study God’s Word. Start with asking God to help you understand His scripture. He will be faithful.

Intentions

What happens when recipes are not followed, when measurements are not accurate? The good intention of the person submitting approved, great tasting recipe is jeopardized. God’s Word holds the answer and solution to every question we have. When following God’s commands, we’re set on straight path, pursing God given purposes. We keep seeking, deepening understanding, wisdom, and knowledge- our heart and mind conforms to God’s will vs. world’s influence.

Influence

As we start our week…which influence benefits our best interest? I can assure you the world is not out for our good. There will be a tease to pull you in…then take full advantage of you. I’ve even seen this in church settings. Let’s be diligent gaining wisdom. As more world influences the church, more important than ever to study God’s Word. Can we do this? Yes, we can!

Be encouraged!
