Attitudes: Making Decisions to Avoid Pits

Attitudes: Making Decisions to Avoid Pits

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted, Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. (Matthew 5:3-6 ESV)

Blessed

Motivating Monday! Who says God’s people are not to be blessed? Beginning of the Beatitudes, we see blessings of eternal life, comfort during mourning, meek will inherit the earth, and those who thirst and hunger after righteousness, will be satisfied. Wow! Satisfied in today’s world…

Beatitudes,

The thought of Beatitudes came from stirrings of my failed attitudes. My failings might resonate with someone who is dealing with same issue. I can best explain like this…You eat something that leaves a bad taste in your mouth. A few years have passed and this particular food item is in sight (not even tasted), ill stirrings surface from memory. I work hard moving on, trusting God. God is faithful! However, can be placed right back in situation where discernment pointed out truth and poor attitudes reignite.

Attitudes

God does not give us a gift of discernment to go around in foul attitudes, a lesson learned long ago. At times, I keep re-learning. I recently found myself in this situation. Poor attitudes fester like boiling water running over top of pan- if…flesh is not controlled. With my flesh wanting to sink me in a pit- just like satan would love to happen, I decided to defeat sinking tug. When I adjusted my attitude, God was able to work through me with a divine appointment. Amazing! Same is true for you.

Assured

Beatitudes is defined as supreme blessedness. We are not only blessed, we are supremely blessed when aligned with God’s Word. It’s a guidebook for living a righteous life, pleasing God. Let’s be motivated to dismiss bad attitudes, seeking scripture for beatitudes. Blessings will certainly be assured. Thank you, Jesus!

Be encouraged!
