Fall…Fond Memories, Keeping Perspective

Fall...Fond Memories, Keeping PerspectiveAnd we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 ESV)

Friday!

Forward Friday! Soon to be October! Amazing, hard to believe this action packed year is cruising into fall. Thankfully, last few days have felt like fall. With 90 degree temps, I was having trouble thinking it was fall. We are in Missouri though, when people say we never know the weather here- it’s true.

Fall

I love fall and all fun activities associated with fall. Being raised in a small, rural area allowed so many wonderful memories. My all time favorite, I believe I’ve shared before- hosting hayrides in the back of my dad’s grain truck. Especially, when he would lift the back and the element of surprise tickled us into laughter. We would use coat hangers to roast hot dogs and marshmallows, while the graham crackers and chocolate awaited. Fun times.

Perspective

Too bad life cannot always be filled with fond memories. There are times when we are dealt raw deals. Keeping God’s perspective is key to avoid the world stealing our joy. There will be more than enough times, individuals cannot be trusted with our best interest. This is especially true for our children. We never want our children nor us to be under poor influences that would tear them or us down.

Confident

Trusting Romans 8:28 has always been one of my key verses. God’s plans are for us to know that in all things- He works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose. If we allow the world to control our movements- we know for a fact- good will not be found in all things. Through trusting Christ- we are confident, following path set for us- all things will work for our good. Therefore, we stand amazed with who God places in our paths. Individuals we can trust and know they desire good for our children and this light reflects back and forth. What is good for us, is good for our children.

Faithful

It’s time to move forward. I want everyone to grasp this truth. Allow God to guide and direct our steps. When we do not know or confused- simply ask God, He will shine light on our divine paths. It will always lead to good. So- if there is a bad feeling about something, ask Jesus, He will reroute in the direction we should go. He is faithful. Time and time again- Faithful. Happy Fall!

Be encouraged!
