Triumphal Procession/Learning Curve

Triumphal Procession/Learning CurveBut thanks be to God, who in Christ always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us spreads the fragrance of the knowledge of him everywhere. (2 Corinthians 2:14 ESV)

Thanksgiving Week!

Motivating Monday! Thanksgiving Week! With every passing year, I become more comfortable with preparations and timing on Thursday. It’s definitely a learning curve to achieve our elder’s perfection. Reaching Paul’s spiritual maturity seen in this letter to the Corinthians, took a learning curve. Those remembering him as Saul had trouble accepting him as Paul. Sounds familiar to our President-Elect situation.

Scenario

This scenario is not limited to these two, it happens to many individuals taking serious path to spiritual maturity. Last week I was called self-righteous and a pharisee. Early in my days being dragged from my comfort zone, no doubt I was quite self-righteous. We can set ourselves up pretty religious. Praise God, He did not leave me there. So began my learning curve, more I rejected- hotter refining fire became. It’s all relative to learning curves, reaching triumphant processions.

Triumphal Procession

On another note, we cannot leave spiritual babies as spiritual babies…for maturity to ever take place, Biblical Truth has to enter the equation. Individuals need boundaries, instruction, rest, and love. We love others to show them Christ, we speak truth releasing the enemy’s grip. If we never study God’s Word, then how do we know God’s full character, promises, or develop more like Christ? Because…If we always want to be led in a triumphal procession, we must be in Christ. Yes, this is possible. If it became possible for Paul to believe, we can experience same.

Becoming Responsible

When my oldest was three, he wanted something that would not have been good for him. He was not happy. I responded, “I am your mommie, I am not your friend. I am to raise you to become a responsible adult.” He only heard that momma did not want to be his friend, even though I loved him dearly. Thankfully, he has become a responsible adult. Parents have responsibilities to raise responsible adults. Seems this thought has fallen away in winds of societal confusion.

A Fragrance…

Not with God- He parents disciplining those He loves. He desires maturity in His children. The process includes building Word knowledge- growing in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Acknowledging the lamp on our feet, directing our path. When reaching a point God can trust us, we’ll have a fragrance of knowledge in Him- spreading everywhere. In this…we’re led in a triumphal  procession. A proven fact.

Be encouraged!
