Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1 NIV)
Monday!
Motivating Monday! Election Day is tomorrow! Key to selecting the best candidates for local, state, and national positions- might we say, Commander and Chief of our National Armed Forces is no small quest; scripture offers a how-to approach in recognizing the Spirit of God, test spirits. Why? I hear some of you- does this matter? Old Testament kept track of Kings who did right in the eyes of the Lord or did evil in the eyes of the Lord. Here’s what scripture says:
- Every spirit acknowledging that Jesus Christ came in the flesh is from God.
- Any spirit not acknowledging Jesus is from God, is spirit of the anti-christ.
Truth
In our President’s race, we have one candidate for the American people and one with no respect towards life. It’s easy to discern between these two, yet there are Christians who cannot see this truth. If there has been a tap on hearts, trying to get our attention, let’s be open to The Holy Spirit’s direction. We’ve all experienced that “Nudge” trying to help us refocus/redirect. The Holy Spirit is an amazing helper, counselor, and most of all…Spirit of Truth. He will guide us into all truth.
Clarity
I love to help, yet, I am not one to take steps on the computer to do so. If someone ask me, I will do my best to accomplish task. We need to approach God through worship, prayer and petition to have needs met. Our need right now is for clarity from societal confusion and direction for candidate selection. God will be faithful. Simply ask Him.
Test Spirits
A little follow up from last Friday’s blog…Ben Carson could be to Trump as Nathan was to King David. May God be able to see in our new President, that he does/did right in the eyes of the Lord. Let’s be motivated to pray for clarity and have all fraudulent votes destroyed before tomorrow morning. May we have a honest election- test all spirits.
Be encouraged!
