Inauguration Day! Interesting Perspective…

Inauguration Day! Interesting Perspective...The next day, the one after Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate. “Sir,” they said, “We remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’ So give the order for the tomb to be made secure…” (Matthew 27:62-64a NIV)

Inauguration Day!

Forward Friday! Today is January 20, 2017, Inauguration Day. Interesting, opposition to Donald Trump has similarities to the King of all Kings, Jesus Christ. Jesus was even called a deceiver by the chief priests and the Pharisees. They were educated, yet ignorant to spiritual truth. The disciples may not have understood all Jesus taught, yet, they believed. The difference impacted trust Jesus had for each of them, furthering His message.

Seeking

Think about Nicodemus seeking Jesus out one night. He said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no other one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.” Jesus responded, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus failed to understand. Saul on the other hand, had a life changing experience, blinded by the light. A true transformation even taking the disciples a little time to accept.

A Reprieve

Here we have a successful businessman, becoming our nation’s 45th President. It was a substantial win, red illuminating our country’s landscape. Americans are tired of corrupt politics as usual. Warning signs developed over last eight years: 1)military weakened, 2) respect for law enforcement challenged, and 3) gun ownership threatened. These three areas alone prove ulterior motive for taking over this country; suppress, weaken, and devour. People prayed and God delivered. This election win in the President-Elect’s favor, proves God is allowing a reprieve in hopes people will repent from their sin. The new President stands for a unified effort in making America great again.

Opposition

Those who oppose want their own form of ideology. Rebellion began long ago against the God taught to them from their parents/grandparents. To return America back to God’s favor, sin has to be dealt with, we have to repent. There are dormant seeds in many Americans, seeds planted from fertile soil. My Inauguration Day prayer is for God to begin watering dormant seeds and truth will spring forth producing beautiful fruit. Hurts and bitter roots will dissolve and no root will remain, God’s love covers all wrongs.

Truth

Here’s the truth- the chief priest and the Pharisees were wrong. Jesus was not a deceiver, He was the King of Kings. Jesus rose on the third day, just like He said he would. If we trust God, we can trust His provision. President Trump’s words will prove true. Just as Saul’s sins were repented and if we repent- our sins are no more remembered. Neither are they for a President-Elect if repented, and this we can only tell by the fruit we see now. Looks to me…He is going to be true to America and will do great in God’s sight. A win-win situation. Happy Inauguration Day! Let’s pray safety for all and any possible criminal plans are stopped before action taken. And…May God’s light be shining bright- offering only sunshine during this time. In Jesus’s name we ask and pray. Amen.

Be encouraged!
