Haters Will Hate- Choose God’s Way to React

Haters Will Hate- Choose God's Way to ReactBeloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” (Romans 12:19 ESV)

Haters will Hate

A saying my daughter and her friends have going is…haters will hate. Hate seems to be widely used these days. Hate is opposite of love, therefore, leading us to today’s blog. Anything that is opposite of God’s principles is satan’s. I wish God could pick up every church on Sunday morning and give it a good shaking. Maybe He does this through storms, earthquakes, or fires? Good thing I’m not God…He definitely sides with more mercy and grace.

Change

If  asked, “What is the greatest principle learned through your spiritual journey?” First, understand that a spiritual journey will lead us to greater understanding, maturing in Jesus Christ. If your spiritual journey seems to be turning circles or heading backwards, God’s Word has been omitted. There cannot be any maturing without allowing God’s Word to change us. We are all sinners saved by grace. As we mature, we gain greater understanding of what is expected of us- being a child of Christ. He has not left us as orphans, He’s loved us so much, sent His one and only son to die on the cross for you and me.

Trust

Through His great love for us, I’m confident He is fighting for us- who love and trust His Word to guide our daily life. Which brings me to answering the above question…daily life encounters people. Where there are people there are reasons to become introverted. No! Sadly, this has been my approach and I’ve missed out on great friendships and involvement. The older I’ve become, more I understand Elijah running away, falling asleep under a tree, until God intervened. All the opposing force is there, if we do not watch out- the enemy will take hold and not let go.

Love

Instead of hiding away, I’ve realized people who act in selfish, evil ways are people who need God more than ever. When God says, “Vengeance is mine,” this means let God handle these people. It’s really a relief, leaving room for God’s peace . We no longer have to carry anger, the wrong they do- God in His sovereignty will see best way to handle. The best principle I’ve learned and apply is trusting God to deal with these people. We never know- God’s plan of vengeance may actually produce good in someone. It’s possible! We believe! God is love, satan is hate.

Be encouraged!
