Testimony- Sharing What God Has Done, Overcoming

And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short! (Revelation 12:11,12 ESV)

It’s Friday!

Forward Friday! Great news! Jesus has already won the war. What war- spiritual warfare, the battle satan likes to undermine individuals to ruin their testimony or keep from ever having a testimony. I miss days of random testimony sharing across the congregation. When I was young, I would cringe hoping not to be called on. Now, I would not be able to stay seated, I cannot be quiet. I could sing and shout- look what The Lord has done, He’s healed my body, He’s set me free…living for Jesus is by far the most wonderful experience of a lifetime.

Change

Yesterday, both my kiddos began school for 2017/2018 school year. After returning home from taking my daughter, I sat in my car pondering…change. I want change, no longer wasting time, squandering precious time God has given me to complete His purpose. How I’m to become productive will take great initiative to push through this opposing force that has kept me at bay. This force is the enemy attempting to block further goals met. It’s through knowing God’s Word, the power of our testimony, and taking captive thoughts contrary to task at hand. I must- no other option, fulfill God’s purpose.

Testimony

We will conquer/overcome by the word of our testimony. The word- establishing facts about what God has done in our lives, what we have seen with our own eyes. The enemy is miserable knowing his time is short. No longer can we sit back resisting all God has prepared for us to do and experience. In this battle for good vs. evil, we become aware of evil and try to avoid. Sadly, some like being on the losing team and refuse any knowledge of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to speak truth in love, trust Jesus to soften hearts for truth to be received, and hearts changed, accepting Jesus as Savior. If God is for us- who can be against us? They can try, yet, Jesus holds the victory!
