Remembering…Never Taking Freedom for Granted

Remembering...Never Taking Freedom for GrantedMeanwhile his disciples urged him, “Rabbi, eat something.” But he said to them, “I have food to eat that you know nothing about.” Then his disciples said to each other, “Could someone have brought him food?” “My food,” says Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.” (John 4:31-34 NIV)

Remembering/Memorial Day 2018

A day remembering all individuals who died while serving, protecting our great nation, America. Memorial Day dates back to 1870. Before separated by northern and southern states, dates are available on the first soldier’s grave decorated. Recently, our oldest has spent lots of time considering a role in the military. A small taste of all families who represent soldiers and reflect freedom, blessed to breathe with ease. Thank you. Thank you to all who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Trust

With discussion my husband and I’ve had considering our son…when it’s God’s will…we have to trust and accept God’s calling in our children. The disciples can strike me funny. There are times the disciples really do not get Jesus or His teachings- remembering no condemnation for anyone who is walking close to Jesus, seeking and learning. This is key for growing in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. The disciples thought physical food and Jesus discussed spiritual food. The food Jesus is referring in today’s scripture, is spiritual food, in order to do the will of God. You, me, and every person born has a God- given purpose, purposed by God, before we were ever born, in our mother’s womb.

Going The Mile

Whatever our calling, remembering Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice, like all soldiers face…are we willing to go the mile? The mile set to accomplish tasks directed to complete. I personally have muddled through swamps last few years. Yes, I’ve kept blogging and working on writing skills…just when we think time has been wasted, The Holy Spirit- Spirit of Truth, opens our thoughts to positives in midst of delays. Reminding me, while visiting Galveston’s Moody Church, words in a worship song…Open my eyes to wonder…Yes, Jesus, open my eyes to wonder. My prayer today…With freedom granted through others’ sacrifice, may Jesus open our eyes to wonder…all He has set before us, His calling with our names written. Let’s never take freedom for granted- freedom is not free. Be motivated to keep from being deceived in midst of societal confusion.

Be encouraged!
