Saltiness…Light/Salt of The World

Saltiness...Light/Salt of The World“Don’t judge, or you will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be used against you. (Matthew 7:1,2 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

July 2, 2018, now into our second half of the year. My wonderful husband complimented me with the most meaningful words, leaving church Saturday night. He gave me a hug and said, “You big bag of salt.” Yes! I want to be salt, not ever losing my saltiness. While in Murfreesboro, TN for a baseball tournament, we searched for a church to attend- found out that Gov. Mike Huckabee was speaking at World’s Outreach Center, 7 minutes from our hotel.

Truth

Today’s scripture is one twisted and turned in so many ways to justify sin. The left wants any truth spoken to be gleamed as judging someone. This is far from the truth- the chapter continues…only when the speck of sawdust is removed from our own eyes can we help remove from others eyes. In order to ever realize what specks need removed- we study scripture to understand God’s expectations set for His children. During this process, we mature and learn to speak Truth in love. Once we have gone through something- we have learned lessons wanting others to avoid.

Saltiness

While listening to Gov. Huckabee, he made a simple statement about judgment and I began thinking- Wow! I used to hear this scripture lots during childhood sermons and how faint it became in my heart. If God’s Word grows faint…we’re losing our saltiness. Gov. Huckabee made the most accurate statement, “Socialist are not to be blamed for our country’s problems, Christians losing their saltiness are to blame.” I highly recommend going to the World Outreach Church and listen to Gov. Huckabee’s message. He spoke during all service times. The Church needs mature Christians, not losing saltiness- most definite, do not want anyone deceived. If thinking saltiness might have weakened…get back into a Bible Study, begin growing in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. In midst of societal confusion, we must know difference between true/false.

Be encouraged!
