Teach, Walk, Unite…Truth Prevails!

Teach, Walk, Unite...Truth Prevails!Teach me your way, O Lord, that I may walk in your truth; unite my heart to fear your name. (Psalm 86:11 ESV)

Forward Friday!

Have you ever read scripture and felt a big bear hug? This just happened to me, I’ll take it as a pleasing sign from The Holy Spirit. Imagine The Holy Spirit when Jesus said to the disciples, “But I tell you the truth: it is good I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.(John 16:7 NIV) Wow! How can anyone deny wanting to know more?

Teach

Teach us your way, O Lord. Christ’s way or the world, there’s not really a grey area. The world wants to tell there are grey areas, scripture calls this lukewarm. King David’s heart of Christ…softens to understand, it’s a personal decision what path we believe. When choosing Jesus, pace varies per person, yet, we should all be moving forward in transforming our hearts and minds through studying God’s Word, The Bible. Teach me your way, O Lord…hunger and thirst after righteousness, seek and find…so much to learn, wonderful to gain wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.

Walk

That we may walk in your truth. Jesus…even the strongest of believers are having a tough time with this one, the world is pressing in harder as many churches try to catch the next whim of how to make people happy. Truth is…there are many hurt individuals who have been turned off by people in the church. They do not need to be justified, they need to be transformed, understanding who Christ really is and how misrepresented Jesus can be. Walking in Truth…we have to study, listen to God’s Word, find a trustworthy pastor- who believes God’s Word is infallible- unwilling to stray from Truth, all spoken with God’s love. Jesus, nothing more important than to know Truth. God’s truth sets people free, free indeed.

Unite

Unite our hearts to fear your name. Lord, make our hearts unite to your heart…take a minute and think about this…Jesus’ very own heart…working out our salvation with fear and trembling. Fear as in Reverence, daily interactions honoring God in all we do. Taking our hearts united, honoring God in all we do; is a win-win combination that elevates us higher avoiding all conflict below. I’ve always envisioned a cartoon character walking along…greater faith, eyes on Jesus, God’s plan in action as God’s angels are blocking all attacks, striving against societal confusion. When hearts are united, a strong tendency ignites to protect Jesus, He is faithful. Let’s keep moving forward!

Be encouraged!
