Kind, Gracious Words…Sweetness, Health

Kind, Gracious Words...Sweetness, HealthGracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body. (Proverbs 16:24 ESV)

Motivating Monday!

Have you noticed honey, unless a straight pointed bottle, has a tendency to spread and be sticky. Dining at Cracker Barrel yesterday, I had honey everywhere almost missing my biscuit. This made me think beyond health benefits and multiples times honey is mentioned in the Bible, how this sweet substance can set the example, to spread sweetness- kind, gracious, genuine words.

Sweetness

This kind of sweetness is natural for very few people. Like often we can revert back to old ways when driving. My husband mentioned how our daughter has many of my driving tendencies…sadly, I have to agree. She was approaching a green light this past weekend, chanting…Go! Go! Go! to the cars in front of her. This leads me to reflect how I do not always reflect Christ when driving. How about you? May be other areas in life…a good time to reflect. Having a genuine- kind spirit, willing to offer gracious words is like a honeycomb. A sweetness to the soul and health to the body. This is a major- we must grasp.

Faith

I really battle around individuals with a negative spirit. Our words are so important, reflecting the core of our being. It’s like a generational curse, when always used to hearing someone say- no. I want to always say, “Yes!” Yes, We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. All things are possible to those who believe. When we are weak, God is strong. Miracles are possible, we have to believe. This level of belief comes from our level of faith. Faith levels determine many things, especially the kind Spirit being discussed today.

Kind, Gracious

Let’s be motivated…tapping into God’s Spirit within, developing a kind, gracious Spirit. As we do, consider gracious words like a honeycomb, offering sweetness to one’s soul, bringing health to not only our body, health to others. Dear Readers, this level of kindness reflects God’s love, however, we’re not justifying anyone’s sin. We cannot forget the health factor to one’s body- mind, body, and soul. A hardened heart will never listen to God’s Truth, only softened by God’s love and kind words.

Be encouraged!
