Secret Wisdom: Those Who Seek, Find!

No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began. None of the rulers of this age understood it, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. (1 Corinthians 2:7, 8 NIV)

Forward Friday! 

If we could only learn from past examples, all circumstances conducted positive, would be light years ahead. This includes all spectrums of life. God’s wisdom has been around before time began. It’s amazing to think about time and even more so…before time began. Many mommas and dads are sending kiddos to college, new seasons for them and us. And, every year seems we release them further into life, where they will need God’s wisdom most. So how do develop a strong sense of God’s secret wisdom.

Trust

The summer before high school begins, our children re-decorate their bedrooms. Last night, you might have heard Victoria and me shouting with excitement. We set forth on this project, trusting God for direction. When we stay alert to God’s directions, He will guide us into the best situations, connecting us with the most wonderful people, and providing thoughts how do things. More we listen, more wisdom is gained.

Finding

Figuring out God’s secret wisdom, reminded me of a statement my daughter made last night. We’ve been finding many items at Pottery Barn Outlet. We stopped in before soccer practice, she said, “Mom, you cannot go there looking for a definite item.” I get what she’s saying, there are so many items, changes daily, and best thing to do is look. While she was looking, in midst of piled accent pieces, a mirrored jewelry holder, really cool was found- perfect! As I was looking- love the big clearance boxes, with additional savings that we dig through- found a navy, full sized duvet. Have you ever considered using these as a bed skirt? Me neither, yet, this is how our God works…again, perfect!

Secret Wisdom

As we stop and prioritize time with Jesus, having our minds framed to seek…just like finding treasure in clearance items, God’s wisdom is found and developed more we seek. Just like knowing what stores to go to- we know The Bible is where Jesus is found. He is the Word, and more we read, study God’s Word, more we learn about God’s secret wisdom. Nothing sweeter than God’s wisdom.
