Scripture: Lord, Open Minds to Understand

Scripture: Lord, Open Minds to UnderstandHe said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.” Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. (Luke 24:44, 45 NIV)

Scripture

I love today’s scripture, as Jesus explained his connection with the Old Testament. Individuals claim the OT’s irrelevance in today’s world, only to be misleading others, as they lack understanding. The OT and NT combine forming The Bible. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 explains purpose of Scripture; God-breathed allowing God’s servants- His children to be thoroughly equipped for every good work. And…claiming Scripture when God’s Word is the only hope for comfort.

Disappointment

We’ve been dealing with disappointment. The devil throws darts and God sends blessings. I’ve been trying to discern…it’s hard when the answer is no. It’s even harder when our children work hard- and we know how hard they’ve worked and fall short in someone’s view of them. People lack understanding when reading God’s Word, people fail to understand all that encompasses an Eagle Scout, top leadership in communities all around the world. There are only 4% of scouts to reach Eagle rank. I’m a thankful mom of two Eagle Scouts. During prayer and discerning, I was directed to Isaiah- such a powerful prophet.

Prayer

Disappointment happens, and how we deal with this affects days ahead. Our motto: Become better, not bitter. In the mean time- find relatable Scripture, google in today’s culture, and pray without ceasing, praying fervent prayers will change course of action or change one’s heart. A key prayer in all prayers- pray any force coming against you or prayers must cease in Jesus’ name. Pray for all stumbling blocks to be removed. Any word spoken against us is refuted, as children of God, this is our heritage.

Simple, simple…ask Jesus to open mind so scriptures can be understood.

Be encouraged!
