Fear: Satan’s Mojo, Avoid Being Deceived

Fear: Satan's Mojo, Avoid Being DeceivedFor this reason I remind you to fan into the flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:6-7 ESV)

Motivating Monday!

A quiet whisper in midst of societal confusion, keep eyes on me- Jesus. The day has arrived like walking a high wire or even a low beam where balance is key- keeping eyes looking ahead. God did not give us a spirit of fear. However, learning God’s Spirit, we explore what it means to have God’s power, His love, and the ability to have self- control working in our lives.

Senator Susan Collins gave the most informed speech, presented in such grace and pureness of heart. I know very little about this lady, and thankful I watched her speech delivered. There are points she made clear, refuting reasons for people to be fearful- both for right and left. I do not agree with a few of Kavanaugh’s rulings, yet, I am not out rioting. Where groups are being paid to riot- disruptively, there are people making peaceful stands. When this vote passed, hate did not go away, vicious spewing of words and now new targets to hit…we are living in times where people are being deceived and perishing for lack of knowledge.

Satan knows weak areas, gripping with fear is his mojo. Fear cancels faith, clouding judgment. Truth is easily seen, not so easy for others. People believe what they want to believe. Accepting Truth may cost too much, having to rethink ideologies. The Democrat party has been hijacked by private interest groups for their own agenda- not for the American people. The cost is too high- not to accept Truth. Being deceived leads to death, Truth leads to life.

Instead of fanning hate…let’s fan into flame the gift of God. Don’t let just anyone pray for you. Ask during personal prayer times, God will direct your paths straight to trustworthy individuals who He has ordained to pray over you. The release of God’s power, His love, and self-control in our lives elevates us to be able to spread our wings like eagles, to soar above all of societal confusion. God is so good. There is no evil in him. Any evil we see…straight from the devil. Discerning between good and evil is possible, and much needed. Let’s stay informed, keep our eyes looking ahead, balanced with Truth.

Be encouraged!
