Deceived: Avoid Wide Gate, Destruction

“Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toll you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return. (Genesis 3:17b-19 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

The excitement is in Cape Girardeau, Missouri! President Trump, Sean Hannity, Lee Greenwood, and Rush Limbaugh will be in town for tonight’s rally- vital voting tomorrow. My upmost prayer for mid-term election results are honest votes. Democratic schemes deceived in the past with rigged voting machines, votes from the grave, and illegal votes. Where has this corruption come from? How can deceptive individuals have major impact on America’s constitutional rights? The story begins in the book of Genesis.

Deceived

Eve was deceived by the serpent, she ate fruit from forbidden tree. Why was the serpent ever created? Free- will- it’s up to us. Although this can be debated, God does choose us, yet, he loves the entire world. He directed his disciples- go into all Nations. It is God’s will that all know him and live eternally in Heaven. Sadly, many choose easy path…Matthew 7:13 ESV, “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many.” Many reject God’s free gift of salvation.

God Created…

God created the perfect garden for Adam, allowing him to name all the wild animals, and even name his helper, woman and later named her, Eve. She led Adam into deception. Those close to us, are more apt to seal the deal on being deceived. We look for confirmation in what we believe. If beliefs go against the Bible, one is choosing the wide path, leading to destruction. Therefore, incredibly important to know God’s Word, able to locate scripture to counter societal confusion. To seek God’s guidance and protection around us, our loved ones, and connections ordained by God.

Future

Knowing where we’ve come from, helps knowing how to choose our future. Do we want any further curses because we’ve been deceived? I bet Adam thought long and hard after ease of working the Garden of Eden and working through thorns and thistles to produce food for eating. One thing we all have in common…we are formed of dust and will return to dust, until our Heavenly bodies await…through the narrow gate. People are making this choice all around the world. For America, when we become Biblically correct, we’ll be politically correct.
