Thanksgiving and Praise: The Lord is Good

Thanksgiving and Praise: The Lord is Good

Enter his gates with Thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures forever, and his faithfulness to all generations. (Psalm 100: 4, 5 ESV)

Motivating Monday!

Psalm 100 will be a great, encouraging read today. Even as I typed the two verses above, a joy surged within, remembering God’s love. His love endures forever! Forever is a mighty long time. To infinity and beyond…surreal to imagine, however not so much as years pass quickly. Are we able to worship the Lord with gladness? Might even be at the beginning stages of Christianity, questioning how does one get from A to G to M to Q to W…to then end, Z to if there really is eternal life?

Culture

Culture changes, our world changes- parts of our world has positive movements happening, my dear friends in Africa…praise God for all happening in your land. Missionaries are making impacts around the world, where God is raising voices in America for America…a song comes to mind…Oh, sinner, come home. A-Z and all stages in between this spiritual journey we’re on…can best be approached with thanksgiving and praise. Our Lord, the One I serve and hope you do, too- He is good. Not only does His love endure forever, His faithfulness is to all generations. A very reassuring fact.

Surrender

A song during Sunday’s worship service, kept repeating, “He’s never gonna let you down.” This is true, only in the perimeter of being in God’s Will. Through our changing culture, God never changes- His Word is same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. God’s love and faithfulness is readily available to combat cold, hard, bitter hearts in need of a kind word, from a person who genuinely cares. We can only have a genuine heart that cares, if we keep our own hearts tender before The Lord. It’s not our will, ideologies, or grand idea of direction we desire for our lives, we surrender all to Jesus.

Holy- Sovereign

God is not a deal maker, He is a Sovereign, Holy Father who offers the best and will never let us down…if only willing to trust and obey God’s Word. Question anyone who thinks any part of the Bible is not needed, Revelation 22:18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him plaques described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Thanksgiving and Praise

Thanksgiving and praise, giving thanks to Jesus and blessing His name…takes focus off ourselves, allows alignment with God’s perfect will- through studying God’s Word, honoring Him by becoming the new creation we are in Christ, old has passed away. Be careful, the devil is constantly stirring to see who he can devour. Let’s be motivated, held accountable by God’s standards, letting the world pass away- as we stand strong, honoring God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit with Thanksgiving and praise.

Be encouraged!
