Give…It Will Be Given- By Measure We Gave

“Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6: 37, 38 ESV)

Test

Interesting how individuals approach this blog…those with pure hearts, want to learn and those with impure, read to be judgmental. I want people to test the Spirit I write from…strictly from God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. The way to do this…open Bibles and see if scripture used is in your Bible. It’s critical to test Spirit’s today- even once well respected teachers/preachers can follow wrong path. Remember, people can be in church all their lives, and never mature beyond point of salvation.

Give

A friend asked me to explain my belief in Joel Osteen. I did so using facts. Bottom line, Southern Baptist carry a deep bitter root, formed after Joel’s father, John left this denomination. Once a person receives gift of tongues, speaking in tongues- hard to stay in a church unaccepting and unwilling to recognize all spiritual gifts. Lakewood Church began in very humble beginnings. I share this because…Joel is an encourager and believes in prosperity. What happens if every Christian, Bible believer-unwilling to believe in financial success? Tithes would be low, Churches would go broke…unable to minster to needs, help orphans and widows or the family who has hit hard times. Accepting Jesus as our Personal Savior, we line up from same starting line.

Benefits

The Bible is our rule book- yes…rules. It’s filled with do’s and don’t’s…all to benefit our journeys, becoming stronger and wiser, toward holiness and righteousness. More we study, we’ll learn to appreciate God’s teachings, grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.  The world offers intellectual knowledge, God formed our brains, however, takes a step further with Spiritual knowledge.

Aligned

There is much to be aligned in order to receive good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, and land in our lap. With Jesus teaching:

• Judge not- will not be judged
• Condemn not–  will not be condemned
• Forgive- will be forgiven
• Give– it will be given to you

The more we read, more we know, more we grow. Hearts are transformed as maturity develops- we love individuals once thought impossible. We become the hands and feet of Jesus…and not much in this world is free…we need to believe, working through these four pivotal points. Once hearts are uncluttered, Give…the measure we use, will be measured back. I want a long measuring tape…because, I want to be a giver. How about you? I love giving…and understanding this truth; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over…the one who gives will receive.
