Ignorant Talk = Foolish Men; Stop and Do Good!

Ignorant Talk = Foolish Men; Stop and Do Good! For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. (1 Peter 2:15 NIV)

Motivating Monday!

The plot is thickening- as the old saying goes. Deception, being deceived, is spreading wide- moving people away from Biblical Truth. Churches are now taking note, statistics prove God’s established churches are in trouble. Attacks are made against Bible believing pastors/churches, when we need to be praying and encouraging brothers and sisters in Christ, in all areas we are called to serve with our gifts and talents.

Ignorant Talk

I’ve encouraged several with this verse lately, thinking may be time to encourage more. There is much ignorant talk made by foolish men. Proverbs 18:7 a fool’s mouth is his undoing, and his lips are a snare to his soul. Imagine all ignorant talk happening, deceiving many…taking time to back up and consider a person’s soul. In Christ, He oversees our souls. He sent The Holy Spirit to live within each believer- in order to teach, counsel, speak Truth, and convict us when wrong has been done. You may be saying…”I’ve never noticed any of that…” Have you taken time to pray, read your Bible, sing praises to Jesus..honoring (attempting/desiring) Him in all we do? Just start with…Jesus, calling His name. There is power in Jesus’ name.

Decision

A decision we make- to live for Christ or not. Choose to have life or face death. In Christ, scripture states we’ll never die. Of course we die an earthly death, yet, when leaving this earth we’ll be with Christ or face eternal hell. I believe this is talked about less and less in church, allowing those justifying sin to become numb to critical facts. Where we spend eternal life is a major, a fact determined by our choices.

Determination

Living for Christ takes determination to overcome doubt, peer pressure, or deception; leaving the ignorant talk and foolishness behind. When making an honest- sincere commitment to follow Christ, we become a new creation. God’s Word is now desired, learning as much as we can. Lord, I pray for all who desire to read The Bible for themselves. Open their minds to understand scripture, hungry and thirsty after God’s righteousness. Seeing and tasting makes us believe without a doubt…In Jesus’ name, Amen. This is how it is with God’s Word- when we believe and apply God’s principles to our daily lives…we have seen and tasted and know that The Lord is good. He is faithful!

Be encouraged!

*Sorry Monday’s blog is late being published. I traveled with David to Hurley’s yearly annual meeting and failed to take my charger. In a room full of PC’s- no chance of an apple charger.:) Please help me pray for all deceived.
